Geography Books by Savindra Singh
If you are not just enrolled yourself to earn a Graduation or Masters's degree in Geography but want to crack UGC NET or Want to crack UPSC Exam with Geography Optional ---- just purchase all the books at once. And start reading.
Don't repeat the mistake I have done. PDFs will be enough to make you pass the semester examination but without a hard copy of these books by Savindra Singh, the dream of JRF or UPSC is a bit unrealistic.
My suggestion would be that, once you receive your scholarship, just invest 2399/- and buy all the books. If you have the dream to do something with Geography or in the field of Geography.
For more clarity, I would refer to the following video from "Geography Nest"
Plan your journey like this:
B.A ➤ M.A ➤JRF ➤ ...
If you are a UPSC aspirant then left the university after B.A, as that is the minimum qualification you required. Start mastering other subjects. And the good part is that you can learn all subjects sitting at home - use online resources. And also open your own YouTube channel (Educational)!
No, don't worry it won't waste your time in the beginning rather it can give you more exposure and make you more regular. And if it really hampers your study you can stop anytime - far better than giving tuitions! It will also improve your personality. _Personal Opinion
One thing to say, decide in the first semester very clearly what you want to do. If you are unable to figure it out - just give more time immediately and at least you should give your need the priority and decide in which direction you will go after Graduation - you have to decide.
If a 20-year-old guy can earn in Lakhs today, you have no option you have to be clear. or else financial freedom is a nightmare - one can't achieve without a proper direction.
Now if you belong to a lower-middle-class family, you may give a Job as a primary objective.
But the problem is that there is competition everywhere.
So it is wise to have at least plan B and that's why doing M.A then cracking the JRF before the Farewell is a cherry on top.
So, stop wasting time, if you have monetary problems still compromise on other things, don't give too much tuition - it will consume your lots of time. Instead of giving tuitions, you can land on Freelancing - start a side hustle in your free time. In the beginning, it won't reward you but long-term potentiality is much much bigger.
What I do, is, I never give tuition to more than 1 Student - it keeps me stress free, and manageable plus gets the minimum amount required as Pocket Money. Other free times are solely dedicated only to Online activities like Affiliate Marketing, YouTube, Blogging, etc.
Get back to the point, Keep JRF as your major focus. See the point is not getting enrolled in Ph.D. after JRF - but JRF certification opens up a lot of opportunities.
You do it first and further discussion will be continued... as I need to discover what are the specific opportunities a JRF cracked student can get!
Till then I am also hustling to crack JRF. Best of luck! and Thanks for your support.
